Spotify undergoes facelift, adds ‘My Music’ section

Music streaming platform Spotify has taken on a new design, all in black, and added a new feature allowing users to save and organise their favourite content.

Spotify launched its new version yesterday, featuring an entirely revamped interface with new colours, fonts and icons. The music streaming platform has also added a My Music section, designed to make it easier for users to manage their personal music library.

Users can now add artists, albums or songs directly to their personal library in a single click and access them later through My Music. By default, the new section already includes all of the playlists saved by the user in the past.

Spotify says the new design, the introduction of the My Music section and the update to the Browse window will be rolled out progressively on all compatible platforms – web and mobile.

Spotify is currently available in 55 countries. The music streaming service has over 24 million active users and 6 million paid subscribers.
